Welcome to AbleSpan ("we," "us," or "our"), a construction management platform operated at ablespan.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

When you use our augmented reality measurement features, we collect:

  • Clock-in and clock-out verification for field crew time tracking
  • Job site proximity features
  • Location tagging on photos and daily logs

You can disable location services in your device settings at any time, though some features may be limited.

2.3 Improving the Platform

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Google OAuth

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, or other Google services unless you explicitly authorize it.

3.2 AI Processing Services

We use third-party AI services to power features including pricing analysis, document scanning, daily log summaries, and webcam monitoring analysis. Data sent to AI providers for processing is governed by their respective privacy policies. We send only the minimum data necessary for each AI task.

3.3 Stripe (Payments)

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Your payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Encryption at rest: All data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
  • Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted via TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Multi-tenant isolation: Each organization's data is logically isolated. Users in one organization cannot access another organization's data.
  • US-based servers: All data is stored on servers located within the United States.
  • Access controls: We implement role-based access controls and audit logging for all data access.
  • Backups: Data is backed up regularly and backups are encrypted.

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

5.1 Access

5.2 Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at support@ablespan.com. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it. Note that deleting your account will permanently remove all project data associated with it.

5.3 Data Export

You have the right to export your data in a machine-readable format. You can export projects, estimates, invoices, and other records through the Service or by contacting us.

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security.

7. Data Retention

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain (such as financial records for tax and accounting purposes, which may be retained for up to 7 years).

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
